Iranian pistachio kernels are usually made from two types of pistachio, open shelled pistachio and closed shelled pistachio. An open shelled pistachio kernel is more expensive than a closed shelled pistachio because it is hand-crafted, which is mechanically engineered. Fandoghi closed shelled pistachio kernels are more favored for customers because of the taste and appearance of the kernels.
In order to maintain freshness and healthiness of product, we use closed-mouth pistachios and after they are shelled by machinery, we remove foreign materials and pack them in 10 kg vacuum bags.
