He added: “Today, Iranian saffron with the name of Spanish saffron and Iranian pistachio in Chinese packaging is exported to world markets, while all these products can be packaged and supplied to the world by amending export laws in the country.”

Abolhassani added: “Iran’s printing and packaging industry, using its domestic power and up-to-date machines and using the latest technologies in the world, can have a lot to say in the region and the world, and we are able to create jobs for many young people.”

Noting that Turkey is the first hub of the region’s printing and packaging industry, he added: “This is while Iran can take this position with the support of the government and attract an important part of the orders of traders and industries in the region.”

The head of the Printing and Packaging Union added: “It is very difficult to sell crude oil to world markets at a price of $ 40, but if this oil is converted into petrochemical products and supplied to the industry as polymer products, it will be at least 10 times more valuable.” .

He added: “The recent fluctuations in the exchange rate were a good opportunity for the printing industry to take over the regional market with the support of the government, but a number of cumbersome and old laws prevent us from ordering printing from industries in other countries.”

Abolhassani specified: 70% of the consumables of the printing industry are imported and for timely import, we need the cooperation of the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade in registering orders, but the delay in the arrival of raw materials prevents the order from reaching the employer in time.

The head of the Printing and Packaging Industry Union considered the sale of raw materials as one of the most important pests and problems of the country’s industries and added: “Customs believes that due to the sale of raw materials, about 15% of goods are lost and because the seller is forced to sell without packaging.” It can sell its product at any price that the buyer wants, and this is while we produce the sorting machine for agricultural products in-house and we can supply these products to the world markets in the form of packaging and under the Iranian brand.

Abolhassani added: “We can prevent the sale of raw materials, and if this happens, 20 to 25 percent of added value will be created in most products, and in products such as pistachios or saffron, this added value will reach 90 times.”

He added: “Today, Iranian saffron goes to Spain in bulk and is packaged and sold all over the world under the name of Spanish saffron, and our pistachio also goes to China in bulk and is packaged in this country and exported to all countries of the world.” While we have all these needs and capabilities inside the country and we only need to amend the laws and regulations
